The Bloom 2 component of the Advanced Hydroponics Dutch Formula three-part nutrient system, formulated to support plants as they move into flowering and flower development.
Advanced Hydroponics Dutch Formula Bloom is the second component in the Dutch Formula Grow, Bloom and Micro nutrient system. Its role becomes increasingly important as plants move away from vegetative growth and begin concentrating their energy on flowering.
Rather than relying on separate fixed grow and bloom feeds, Dutch Formula uses three liquid nutrient components in changing proportions. This gives growers greater control over the balance of nutrition supplied as the crop progresses through its life cycle.
Bloom 2 works alongside Dutch Formula Grow 1 and Micro 3 to create the complete base nutrient solution. It can be used across hydroponic systems, coco and soil, making the same three-part programme suitable for a wide range of growing methods.
Dutch Formula is built around three core nutrients: Grow 1, Bloom 2 and Micro 3. The components are used together, but their proportions change as plants develop.
During vegetative growth, Grow makes up the largest proportion of the three-part feed. As flowering begins, the balance shifts towards Bloom. During full bloom, Bloom becomes the dominant component while Micro continues to provide the micronutrient part of the feeding programme.
Advanced Hydroponics describes the basic Grow : Bloom : Micro ratios as 2:1:1 during growth, 1:2:1 around the flowering transition and 0:3:1 during full bloom. This changing ratio is what allows one three-part nutrient system to follow plants through different stages of development.
Shake the container thoroughly before use. Measure Dutch Formula Bloom according to the stage of plant development and add it to water as part of the complete Grow, Bloom and Micro feeding programme.
Bloom starts at a relatively low concentration during vegetative growth and increases as flowering progresses. A typical Dutch Formula programme uses approximately 0.5ml/L during early growth, increasing to around 1ml/L as flowering begins, 2ml/L during established flowering and up to 3ml/L during the later flowering stage.
Add the Dutch Formula components to the water separately, mixing the solution thoroughly between each addition. Do not combine Grow, Bloom and Micro together while they are still concentrated.
Once all required components have been added, mix the nutrient solution thoroughly before checking and making any required adjustments to the final working solution.

Dutch Formula Bloom is the second component of the Advanced Hydroponics of Holland three-part base nutrient system. It is formulated for flower production and is used alongside Dutch Formula Grow and Micro.
Bloom is one component of the three-part Dutch Formula system. It should be combined with Dutch Formula Grow 1 and Micro 3 in the appropriate proportions to create the complete base nutrient programme.
Bloom is actually present at a low level during the vegetative programme, but its proportion increases as plants move into flowering. It then becomes the dominant Dutch Formula component during full bloom.
The amount changes throughout the growing cycle. Bloom is typically used at around 0.5ml/L during early growth, increasing through approximately 1ml/L and 2ml/L as flowering develops, with up to 3ml/L used during the later flowering programme.
Advanced Hydroponics describes the basic Grow : Bloom : Micro ratios as 2:1:1 during vegetative growth, 1:2:1 around the flowering transition and 0:3:1 during full bloom.
Yes. Dutch Formula is suitable for hydroponic growing and allows the proportions of Grow, Bloom and Micro to be adjusted as the crop progresses.
Yes. The Dutch Formula three-part nutrient system can be used with coco as well as hydroponic systems and soil.
Yes. Advanced Hydroponics states that Dutch Formula is suitable for different growing media, including soil.
The three components are combined within the final nutrient solution, but the concentrated products should not be mixed directly together. Add each component separately to the water and mix thoroughly between additions.
They are the three components of the Advanced Hydroponics Dutch Formula base nutrient system. Their proportions are changed throughout the growing cycle so the overall nutrient balance can be adapted to vegetative growth, the transition into flowering and full bloom.
