Plant identification in professional horticulture

Labels can carry variety names, sowing or potting dates, batch references, pricing, care information or other details needed by the growing or retail operation.

Using a consistent colour and label format can also help visually separate crop groups or production batches.

Using the label

Pass the self-tie label around a suitable stem, branch, support or plant item and secure the loop without restricting plant growth. Recheck labels as woody stems and branches expand.

Choose a suitable permanent, weather-resistant or removable marking method according to the label material, growing environment and length of time the information needs to remain legible.
