The 3m IEC Extension Cable provides an additional three metres of reach between compatible IEC power connections, making it particularly useful for extending reflector, lighting and equipment power cables.
The cable uses an IEC male to IEC female configuration, allowing an existing compatible IEC power connection to be extended when the original cable does not provide sufficient reach.
With an IEC C14 male connector at one end and an IEC C13 female connector at the other, it uses the familiar IEC connection found across a wide range of lighting and electrical equipment.
The 3 metre cable length provides useful additional reach while remaining relatively easy to route and manage around equipment installations.
This extension cable uses an IEC C14 male plug at one end and an IEC C13 female connector at the other.
The C13 female connector is designed to connect to the corresponding IEC C14 inlet found on compatible electrical equipment. The male C14 end can connect to a compatible C13 connector on an existing power cable or suitable power source.
The result is an additional three metres between the existing power connection and the equipment, without needing to replace the complete power cable.
Always check the connectors fitted to your equipment before ordering. Several IEC connector formats exist and similar-looking connectors are not necessarily interchangeable.
The 3m IEC extension lead is particularly useful in lighting installations where the existing reflector or equipment cable does not provide sufficient reach.
It allows compatible components to be positioned more freely while maintaining a detachable IEC connection between the power supply and equipment.
The same C13/C14 connection format is also widely used by compatible ballasts, controllers, computers, monitors, power supplies and other electrical equipment.
Always confirm both physical connector compatibility and electrical suitability for the equipment being connected.
The 3m length provides a useful middle ground where a standard equipment cable is too short but a longer 5m extension is unnecessary.
Additional reach can make equipment positioning easier and helps prevent shorter cables from being stretched or placed under unnecessary tension.
Route the extension carefully and avoid sharp bends, crushing, excessive tension or contact with sharp edges. Any excess cable should be managed neatly without placing strain on the IEC connections.
This product is an IEC extension cable, rather than a conventional UK mains power lead.
A standard UK IEC power lead normally has a UK 3-pin plug at one end and an IEC C13 female connector at the other.
This extension cable instead uses an IEC C14 male connector and IEC C13 female connector. It is intended to extend an existing compatible IEC power connection rather than plug directly into a standard UK wall socket.

The cable is 3 metres long, adding three metres of reach to a compatible IEC power connection.
It uses an IEC C14 male connector at one end and an IEC C13 female connector at the other.
Yes. It uses the standard C13/C14 IEC connection, with a C13 female equipment connector and C14 male plug.
Yes, where the reflector or lighting equipment uses compatible IEC C13/C14 connections and the cable is electrically suitable for the equipment.
Yes, where the existing power lead terminates in a compatible IEC C13 connector and the equipment uses an IEC C14 inlet.
No. This is an IEC-to-IEC extension cable. It does not have a UK 3-pin mains plug.
Yes, provided the ballast uses the appropriate IEC connection and the cable is suitable for its electrical requirements.
The C13 is the female connector commonly found on an IEC power cable, while the C14 is the corresponding male connection commonly fitted to equipment or an extension lead.
It provides additional positioning flexibility where the original equipment or reflector power cable is too short, without introducing the extra cable length of a 5m extension.
No. A standard UK IEC power lead has a UK 3-pin plug at the mains end. This cable has an IEC C14 male connector and is specifically intended as an extension.
No. The equipment must have compatible connectors and the extension cable must be suitable for its electrical requirements.
Yes. Electrical connections should be protected from water, irrigation spray and excessive moisture unless the complete installation is specifically designed and rated for those conditions.
The outer case quantity is 40 cables.
