Atami B'cuzz Silic Boost 250ml is a highly concentrated silicon additive formulated with stable, plant-available silicon to support stronger stems, robust plant structure, efficient nutrient absorption and improved resilience to environmental stress.
Silicon is naturally abundant in soil, but much of it is not readily available for plant uptake. Silic Boost provides silicon in a stable, plant-available form, making it easy to incorporate into an existing plant nutrition programme.
Once absorbed by the plant, silicon helps reinforce the outer layers of leaves and stems. Atami highlights this effect as supporting the development of stronger, thicker stems, helping plants build the structural strength required as foliage, flowers and fruits develop.
Silic Boost also supports the regulation and absorption of nutrients and helps plants become more resilient to abiotic stresses such as heat and drought.
With an application rate of just 0.1ml/L, the 250ml bottle is extremely concentrated and can prepare approximately 2,500 litres of nutrient solution. A full outer case contains 12 x 250ml bottles.
Silicon is one of the most abundant elements found in soil, but naturally occurring silicon is not necessarily available for immediate plant uptake.
B'cuzz Silic Boost addresses this by supplying silicon in a stable and plant-available form. This allows growers using soil, coco or hydroponic systems to introduce silicon at a controlled concentration.
Silicon can accumulate within plant tissues and contribute to stronger outer layers in the leaves and stems. This physical reinforcement helps explain why silicon supplementation is commonly associated with stronger and more robust plants.
Importantly, Silic Boost is a supplement rather than a complete fertiliser. It should be incorporated alongside the appropriate base nutrition for the crop and growing medium.
As a crop develops, its stems and branches must support an increasing amount of plant material. Leaves expand, branches extend and flowering or fruiting crops eventually carry additional productive weight.
Atami specifically highlights the ability of silicon to support the formation of a stronger and thicker stem. Reinforcing plant structure during active development can therefore be particularly useful before plants reach their heaviest productive stages.
Strong plant structure does not replace good environmental management or physical crop support where required, but it provides a valuable nutritional contribution to overall crop resilience.
Atami identifies improved resistance to abiotic stress as one of the principal benefits of Silic Boost.
Abiotic stress refers to environmental pressures caused by non-living factors. Heat, drought, temperature fluctuations and other challenging growing conditions can place additional demands on a crop.
Silicon helps strengthen plant tissues and supports the plant's ability to tolerate these environmental pressures. This can make Silic Boost particularly useful in greenhouses, indoor growing environments and outdoor production where conditions may change throughout the crop cycle.
Silicon supplementation should form part of good crop management rather than compensate for unsuitable conditions. Correct irrigation, root-zone management, temperature, humidity, light and nutrition remain fundamental.
Atami also highlights silicon's ability to regulate and improve nutrient absorption.
This makes Silic Boost particularly useful as part of a structured feeding programme where the objective is not simply to supply more fertiliser, but to support the plant's effective use of the nutrition already being provided.
Silic Boost should therefore be used alongside a correctly balanced base nutrient appropriate to the growing medium and crop stage.
Use Silic Boost at 0.1ml per litre of water. Atami recommends using it from the growth stage onwards, adding it to the nutrient solution until the early ripening stage.
At this concentration, use 1ml for 10L, 5ml for 50L, 10ml for 100L, 50ml for 500L and 100ml for a 1,000L nutrient reservoir.
A 250ml bottle can therefore prepare approximately 2,500 litres of nutrient solution at 0.1ml/L.
Because the application rate is very low, accurate measurement is important. A clean precision syringe or pipette is particularly useful when preparing smaller quantities of solution.
Silic Boost can be incorporated into a normal nutrient solution for root feeding or used as a foliar spray.
For foliar application, use the same concentration of 0.1ml/L of water.
When foliar feeding, prepare a fresh solution and apply evenly to suitable foliage using good spraying practice. Avoid spraying under intense lighting, strong direct sunlight or other conditions likely to cause excessive evaporation or leaf stress.
This flexibility allows growers to incorporate Silic Boost into a wide range of cultivation and crop-management strategies.
Silic Boost can be used across soil, coco and hydroponic cultivation, making it a versatile addition to both simple and more advanced feeding programmes.
In soil, it can be added alongside an appropriate soil fertiliser. Coco growers can combine it with a dedicated coco nutrient programme, while hydroponic growers can incorporate it into their normal nutrient solution.
Atami lists Silic Boost within its feeding programmes alongside products such as B'cuzz base nutrients, Root Stimulator, Bloom Stimulator and flowering additives. Each performs a different function, with Silic Boost specifically providing the silicon component.
It can therefore remain part of the programme across several crop stages rather than being limited to a short vegetative or flowering window.
