Complete Bluelab care kit for cleaning, maintaining and checking conductivity probes to help keep EC readings accurate and dependable.
The Bluelab Conductivity Probe Care Kit brings together the essential equipment needed to look after Bluelab EC and conductivity probes. Regular cleaning helps remove the nutrient salts, mineral deposits and other residue that can build up on a conductivity sensor during normal use.
Keeping the probe clean is important because contamination can cause EC or ppm readings to become inaccurate, fluctuate or respond differently than expected. The kit includes Bluelab Conductivity Probe Cleaner and a dedicated chamois for cleaning the probe face, along with 2.77 EC Conductivity Standard Solution for checking its performance afterwards.
It is a useful maintenance kit for growers relying on conductivity measurements to monitor nutrient strength, whether using a handheld Bluelab meter or a compatible conductivity probe connected to a monitoring or control system.
The kit contains Bluelab Conductivity Probe Cleaner, a conductivity probe cleaning chamois, two single-use sachets of Bluelab 2.77 EC Conductivity Standard Solution, a plastic cup and probe care instructions.
Together, these provide what you need to clean the conductivity sensor and then check its performance using the supplied EC standard solution.
Remove the conductivity probe shroud as directed for your Bluelab meter or probe. Apply one or two drops of Conductivity Probe Cleaner to the probe face and rub firmly using the supplied Bluelab chamois.
Rinse the probe face thoroughly under running tap water while continuing to clean it with the chamois. A properly cleaned probe face should allow water to form an even film rather than separate beads. If water continues to bead on the surface, repeat the cleaning process.
Refit the probe shroud and place the probe into fresh 2.77 EC Conductivity Standard Solution. Allow the reading to stabilise before checking the result. This provides a useful indication that the conductivity probe has been cleaned effectively.

| Purpose | Cleaning, maintenance & performance checking of compatible Bluelab conductivity probes |
It is designed for cleaning and maintaining compatible Bluelab conductivity probes and checking their performance using 2.77 EC Conductivity Standard Solution.
Nutrient salts, minerals and other deposits can accumulate on the conductivity sensor during use. Cleaning removes this build-up and helps the probe continue to provide dependable EC or ppm readings.
Bluelab recommends checking and cleaning conductivity probes around once a month for best results. Cleaning is also worthwhile if readings appear incorrect, fluctuate unexpectedly or are lower than expected.
The supplied 2.77 EC Conductivity Standard Solution provides a known reference value for checking the conductivity probe after cleaning.
Yes. Bluelab Conductivity Probe Cleaner is included along with a dedicated chamois for cleaning the probe face.
Yes. Bluelab specifies this cleaning procedure and care kit for its Truncheon nutrient meters as well as a range of other Bluelab conductivity probes.
No. This is the conductivity-specific Probe Care Kit. Bluelab offers separate pH and combined pH and Conductivity care kits for growers who also need to maintain pH probes.
Bluelab conductivity equipment is factory calibrated, and calibration requirements vary by instrument. Routine cleaning followed by checking the probe in fresh 2.77 EC standard solution is the key maintenance procedure. Certain Bluelab instruments can be recalibrated if necessary.
