A concentrated beneficial bacteria additive designed to enrich the root zone, support nutrient availability and encourage a vigorous, productive root system.
Advanced Nutrients Tarantula introduces hand-selected beneficial bacteria to the rhizosphere, helping growers build a biologically active environment around plant roots. These microorganisms work alongside the root system to support efficient uptake of water and available nutrition.
Tarantula delivers 10,000,000 CFU per gram and is formulated to support nutrient transport within the root zone. Its beneficial bacterial activity also helps improve the availability of important nutrients including iron and phosphorus.
Suitable for hydroponics, coco and continuous liquid-feed systems, Tarantula can be used alongside an existing base nutrient programme and complements other microbial root-zone products where a broader biological approach is required.
Tarantula is used to introduce beneficial bacteria into the rhizosphere, the biologically active area immediately surrounding plant roots. These microorganisms help create favourable conditions for root development, nutrient transport and efficient water uptake.
It is particularly useful during periods of fresh root establishment, including early vegetative development when plants are building the root network needed to support continued growth.
Tarantula can also be introduced around the beginning of flowering, helping reinforce beneficial bacterial populations as the crop moves into a new stage of development and nutritional demand changes.
Tarantula is not the same product as Voodoo Juice or Piranha. Advanced Nutrients formulates these microbial products with different groups of beneficial microorganisms so they can perform complementary roles within the root zone.
Apply Tarantula at 2ml per litre of water or nutrient solution.
For practical reservoir mixing, this is equivalent to 20ml per 10L, 100ml per 50L or 200ml per 100L.
Add the required quantity to the water or prepared nutrient solution and mix thoroughly to distribute the beneficial microorganisms throughout the solution.
Use during early vegetative and root establishment, and again around the beginning of flowering. Application should be matched to these stages of crop development rather than treated as a fixed week-by-week schedule for every species.

Tarantula is a liquid beneficial bacteria additive designed to enrich the rhizosphere. It supports root-zone biological activity, nutrient availability and efficient uptake of water and nutrition.
Tarantula introduces beneficial bacteria into the root zone, helping create a biologically active environment that supports root development and efficient nutrient and water absorption.
Advanced Nutrients recommends using Tarantula at 2ml per litre of water or nutrient solution.
Use 20ml of Tarantula for 10 litres of water or nutrient solution when applying at the recommended rate of 2ml/L.
Use 100ml of Tarantula for a 50-litre reservoir at the recommended 2ml/L application rate.
A 1L bottle will treat approximately 500 litres of water or nutrient solution when applied at 2ml/L.
Tarantula is particularly useful during early vegetative and root establishment and again around the beginning of flowering. Application should follow crop development rather than assuming every crop follows the same fixed number of weeks.
Yes. Tarantula is suitable for hydroponic growing media and continuous liquid-feed systems including aeroponics, drip irrigation, NFT, flood and drain and deep water culture.
Yes. Tarantula is suitable for coco coir as well as hydroponic systems and regular watering programmes.
No. Both products contain beneficial bacteria, but they provide different groups of microorganisms and perform complementary roles within the root zone. They can be used individually or together as part of a broader microbial programme.
No. Tarantula is based around beneficial bacteria, while Piranha supplies beneficial fungi. The products are designed to provide different forms of microbial support within the root zone.
No. Tarantula is a microbial root-zone additive rather than a complete plant fertiliser. Use it alongside an appropriate base nutrient programme.
