A concentrated beneficial bacteria additive designed to enrich the root zone, support nutrient availability and encourage a vigorous, productive root system.

Advanced Nutrients Tarantula introduces hand-selected beneficial bacteria to the rhizosphere, helping growers build a biologically active environment around plant roots. These microorganisms work alongside the root system to support efficient uptake of water and available nutrition.

Tarantula delivers 10,000,000 CFU per gram and is formulated to support nutrient transport within the root zone. Its beneficial bacterial activity also helps improve the availability of important nutrients including iron and phosphorus.

Suitable for hydroponics, coco and continuous liquid-feed systems, Tarantula can be used alongside an existing base nutrient programme and complements other microbial root-zone products where a broader biological approach is required.

Why choose Advanced Nutrients Tarantula?

  • Beneficial bacterial inoculant – introduces selected beneficial bacteria directly into the root zone.
  • Supports root development – helps create a biologically active rhizosphere capable of supporting vigorous plant growth.
  • Improves nutrient absorption – beneficial microbial activity supports the movement and uptake of available nutrition.
  • Supports water absorption – helps create favourable conditions for efficient root-zone water uptake.
  • Improves iron availability – microbial activity helps make this important plant nutrient more accessible.
  • Improves phosphorus availability – supports the conversion of less accessible phosphorus into forms plants can utilise.
  • 10,000,000 CFU per gram – delivers a concentrated population of beneficial microorganisms to the root zone.
  • Suitable for hydroponics and coco – developed for a wide range of soilless growing media and irrigation systems.
  • Compatible with other nutrient programmes – suitable for use alongside Advanced Nutrients base feeds and compatible nutrient programmes.

What is Advanced Nutrients Tarantula used for?

Tarantula is used to introduce beneficial bacteria into the rhizosphere, the biologically active area immediately surrounding plant roots. These microorganisms help create favourable conditions for root development, nutrient transport and efficient water uptake.

It is particularly useful during periods of fresh root establishment, including early vegetative development when plants are building the root network needed to support continued growth.

Tarantula can also be introduced around the beginning of flowering, helping reinforce beneficial bacterial populations as the crop moves into a new stage of development and nutritional demand changes.

Tarantula is not the same product as Voodoo Juice or Piranha. Advanced Nutrients formulates these microbial products with different groups of beneficial microorganisms so they can perform complementary roles within the root zone.

How to use Advanced Nutrients Tarantula

Apply Tarantula at 2ml per litre of water or nutrient solution.

For practical reservoir mixing, this is equivalent to 20ml per 10L, 100ml per 50L or 200ml per 100L.

Add the required quantity to the water or prepared nutrient solution and mix thoroughly to distribute the beneficial microorganisms throughout the solution.

Use during early vegetative and root establishment, and again around the beginning of flowering. Application should be matched to these stages of crop development rather than treated as a fixed week-by-week schedule for every species.

Advanced Nutrients Tarantula FAQs

What is Advanced Nutrients Tarantula?

Tarantula is a liquid beneficial bacteria additive designed to enrich the rhizosphere. It supports root-zone biological activity, nutrient availability and efficient uptake of water and nutrition.

What does Tarantula do for plant roots?

Tarantula introduces beneficial bacteria into the root zone, helping create a biologically active environment that supports root development and efficient nutrient and water absorption.

How much Advanced Nutrients Tarantula should I use per litre?

Advanced Nutrients recommends using Tarantula at 2ml per litre of water or nutrient solution.

How much Tarantula do I need for 10 litres?

Use 20ml of Tarantula for 10 litres of water or nutrient solution when applying at the recommended rate of 2ml/L.

How much Tarantula do I need for a 50-litre reservoir?

Use 100ml of Tarantula for a 50-litre reservoir at the recommended 2ml/L application rate.

How much water will 1 litre of Tarantula treat?

A 1L bottle will treat approximately 500 litres of water or nutrient solution when applied at 2ml/L.

When should I use Advanced Nutrients Tarantula?

Tarantula is particularly useful during early vegetative and root establishment and again around the beginning of flowering. Application should follow crop development rather than assuming every crop follows the same fixed number of weeks.

Can Tarantula be used in hydroponics?

Yes. Tarantula is suitable for hydroponic growing media and continuous liquid-feed systems including aeroponics, drip irrigation, NFT, flood and drain and deep water culture.

Can Advanced Nutrients Tarantula be used in coco?

Yes. Tarantula is suitable for coco coir as well as hydroponic systems and regular watering programmes.

Is Tarantula the same as Voodoo Juice?

No. Both products contain beneficial bacteria, but they provide different groups of microorganisms and perform complementary roles within the root zone. They can be used individually or together as part of a broader microbial programme.

Is Tarantula the same as Piranha?

No. Tarantula is based around beneficial bacteria, while Piranha supplies beneficial fungi. The products are designed to provide different forms of microbial support within the root zone.

Does Tarantula replace my base nutrient?

No. Tarantula is a microbial root-zone additive rather than a complete plant fertiliser. Use it alongside an appropriate base nutrient programme.
