A concentrated 0-1-3 liquid bloom booster designed to support strong, full flower development through the main mid-flowering phase.
Advanced Nutrients Big Bud is a specialist liquid flowering supplement developed for the main flower-building stage of the crop cycle. Its 0-1-3 nutrient profile provides phosphorus and potassium in a carefully balanced ratio, helping growers supplement their base nutrition as flowering demand increases.
Rather than relying on an excessively high phosphorus concentration, Big Bud uses a 3:1 potassium-to-phosphorus ratio. Advanced Nutrients developed this balance to provide the PK nutrition required for productive flower development while reducing the risk associated with unnecessarily heavy phosphorus inputs.
Big Bud sits between early-flowering and late-flowering supplements in the Advanced Nutrients programme. Once initial flower formation is established, it supports the crop through its main flower-building period before giving way to the late-flowering stage. The 5L format is particularly well suited to larger reservoirs, repeated flowering cycles and commercial growing environments.
Big Bud is designed for flowering and fruiting crops during the main period of active flower development. It is a bloom supplement rather than a complete base nutrient, so it should be used alongside an appropriate flowering feed.
In crop-stage terms, introduce Big Bud once the initial transition into flowering and early flower-setting stage is established. Continue through active mid flowering, then discontinue it as the crop progresses into its late-flowering and finishing phase.
Advanced Nutrients identifies Big Bud as suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation, regular watering, irrigation systems, hydroponics and coco coir. It is also designed for continuous liquid-feed systems including aeroponics, drip irrigation and emitters, nutrient film technique (NFT), flood and drain and deep water culture (DWC).
Add Big Bud at 2ml per litre of nutrient solution during the active mid-flowering phase. Use it alongside the crop's normal flowering base nutrient rather than as a standalone feed.
For 10L of nutrient solution, use 20ml. For 50L, use 100ml. For 100L, use 200ml. For a 500L reservoir, use 1L. For a 1,000L reservoir, use 2L.
A full 5L container provides enough Big Bud for approximately 2,500 litres of nutrient solution at the 2ml/L application rate.
As the crop moves beyond its main flower-building stage and into late flowering, discontinue Big Bud and move to the appropriate late-flowering part of the feeding programme.

Big Bud is a 0-1-3 liquid bloom booster designed for the main flower-building stage of flowering. It supplies phosphorus and potassium alongside a complete base nutrient programme.
Big Bud provides targeted phosphorus and potassium during active flower development. Its purpose is to create favourable nutritional conditions for strong, full floral structures during the main mid-flowering phase.
The standard liquid version of Advanced Nutrients Big Bud has an NPK analysis of 0-1-3.
Big Bud uses a 3:1 potassium-to-phosphorus ratio. Advanced Nutrients formulated this balance around the nutritional requirements of actively flowering crops.
Use Big Bud during active mid flowering, after initial flower formation is established and before the crop moves into late flowering and finishing.
Use Advanced Nutrients Big Bud at 2ml per litre of nutrient solution during its mid-flowering application period.
Use 20ml of Big Bud for 10 litres of nutrient solution at the recommended 2ml/L rate.
Use 100ml of Big Bud for 50 litres of nutrient solution.
Use 200ml of Big Bud for a 100L nutrient reservoir.
Use 1 litre of Big Bud for a 500L reservoir at the recommended 2ml/L rate.
At 2ml/L, a 5L container provides enough Big Bud for approximately 2,500 litres of nutrient solution.
No. Big Bud is a flowering supplement and bloom booster. It should be used alongside an appropriate base nutrient rather than as the crop's sole source of nutrition.
Standard Big Bud and Big Bud Coco are separate formulations. Standard liquid Big Bud is a 0-1-3 mid-bloom booster for general growing systems, while Big Bud Coco is formulated specifically around the nutritional characteristics of coco coir and has a different nutrient profile.
They are different formulations and should not be treated as interchangeable concentrates. Big Bud Liquid is measured in millilitres, while Big Bud Powder is a water-soluble product measured by weight. Follow the application rate for the specific version being used.
Yes. Big Bud is suitable for hydroponic cultivation and continuous liquid-feed systems including aeroponics, drip irrigation, NFT, flood and drain and deep water culture.
Yes. Advanced Nutrients identifies standard Big Bud as coco coir safe. However, Big Bud Coco is also available as a separate formulation specifically developed around the nutritional characteristics of coco coir.
Yes. Big Bud is compatible with Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect base nutrients as well as non-pH Perfect base nutrients and compatible third-party nutrient programmes.
Big Bud is designed for the main mid-flowering development period. As the crop progresses into late flowering, discontinue Big Bud and move to the late-flowering stage of the programme, where Overdrive is the corresponding Advanced Nutrients supplement.
Advanced Nutrients states that Big Bud does not contain paclobutrazol, daminozide or other banned plant growth regulators.
