Creation Horticulture at the HTA & GIMA Garden Press Event – A day to Remember in London
Last week, the Creation Horticulture team and I, headed to London for the HTA & GIMA Garden Press Event – a key date in the horticultural calendar and a brilliant opportunity to connect with journalists, influencers and industry voices shaping the season ahead.
On paper, it was a smaller event. Small in scale perhaps, but significant in impact.
What made it special wasn’t the size of the room, but the quality of the conversations. We were able to reconnect with familiar faces across garden media and the wider industry, while also introducing Creation Horticulture to new contacts who were genuinely interested in what we’re building. There’s something energising about standing behind your products and seeing people engage with them, ask questions and really listen to the story behind them.
We came away with a lot of positive feedback – not just about the products themselves, but about our direction as a business. People commented on our ambition, our focus on sustainability, and the clarity of our range. For a growing company, that sort of encouragement means a great deal.
We also had some promising conversations that we’re looking forward to continuing over the coming weeks. That, to me, is always the true measure of success at an event.
We were proud to showcase a selection of products that really represent where Creation Horticulture is heading.

Product Highlights from the Day:
Aqua Culture – Natural Seaweed Fertiliser
This certainly sparked conversation.
What people particularly liked:
- Sustainably made from 100% waste seaweed collected along Cornwall’s pristine coastline
- A genuinely 100% circular process – using a waste product and producing zero waste
- Natural, organic and eco-friendly – 100% seaweed with no chemicals or additives
- Carbon negative production, using traditional methods powered by solar energy and a local spring
-
Sourced and bottled in the UK
In an industry moving firmly towards transparency and sustainability, the reaction to Aqua Culture was extremely encouraging.
Biocore Agri – Liquid Fish, Blood & Bone
This is a familiar concept, but with a modern, practical twist.
Feedback and talking points included:
- A strong sustainability message
- Natural and organic formulation
- Manufactured here in the UK
- Liquid format – meaning a little goes a long way and no pellets left behind for pets or wildlife to dig up
-
Questions around whether it attracts foxes, which we were pleased to address. The manufacturer supplies agriculture, forestry and farms and has not experienced issues
There was clear interest in the practicality of a liquid alternative to traditional granular feeds.

The Green Flame Company – Sustainable Firewood
This range prompted some very positive discussions, particularly around environmental responsibility and compliance.
Key points that resonated:
- Helping restore natural habitats through the removal of invasive species
- Protecting native plants and wildlife
- Supporting local communities and rural jobs
- Naturally sun-dried in South Africa to below 20% moisture content
- Certified Ready to Burn
-
Fully compliant with UK air-quality regulations
With tightening regulations and growing awareness around clean burning, it’s clear this is an area of increasing interest for retailers and consumers alike.

All in all, it was an excellent day for Creation Horticulture. Small in scale perhaps, but significant in impact.
I’m incredibly proud of how our team presented themselves and the business. We’re building something here with purpose, and the response in London reinforced that we’re on the right track.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to speak with us. I’m looking forward to following up and continuing those conversations.
