SWIRScontrol (Amblyseius swirskii) – Versatile Biocontrol for Thrips, Whitefly & Mites

When pests come in waves – not just one at a time – SWIRScontrol offers a solid bit of backup. This mix contains Amblyseius swirskii, a fast-moving predator that doesn’t get fussy about what it eats. Thrips larvae, whitefly nymphs, tarsonemid mites, early spider mites – it goes after them all, without messing with your spray schedule or slowing down your crop cycle.

You’ll get the best results in warmer spots under cover – places where different pests tend to turn up at once and can be hard to track. These mites settle in fast and start hunting as soon as they’re out of the bag.

A good fit for:

• Glasshouses and tunnels with more than one pest problem at play
• Crops that don’t forgive mistakes – like ornamentals, cucumbers, chillies, and soft fruit
• Growers phasing out chemicals or looking for a clean start mid-season

No need to mix, dilute, or overthink it. Just shake or blow into the canopy and let the mites fan out naturally.

How to use:

Go with 25–100 mites per square metre if you’re ahead of the pests. If you're already seeing signs of pressure, up the rate to 300 per m² and keep a close eye on follow-up populations.
